It took Amazon and Sony two months to find a new Kratos for their God of War series: the company itself contacted Dave Bautista, who agreed to take on the role. This is what the media reports.

In fact, fans predicted the 57-year-old actor would be the God of War, but those in charge of the casting relied on Ryan Hurst (“Sons of Anarchy,” “The Walking Dead”), the voice of Thor in “Ragnarok.” That was until late June, after four months of hard training and work, when he tore his bicep and was out of action for a year.

Amazon couldn’t let the show drag on for that long, so it made the big decision to change the lead. Otherwise, there are no changes to the team and cast; preparations are underway to resume filming in Vancouver, Canada, with filming set to begin in mid-October. Do you think the first photo of Batista as Kratos will elicit the same reaction as the photo that broke online? In this picture, the hero first appears in Hearst’s version?
