Chinese action role-playing game Phantom Blade Zero has shown impressive momentum since its pre-order launch. According to analytics firm Alinea Analytics, the game sold more than 300,000 copies in just a few days after the Steam service opened for pre-order, bringing in approximately $14.5 million in revenue for S-Game Studios developers. Additionally, the project topped the list of the most anticipated new products on the platform this year, garnering over 1.6 million wishlist additions.
Analysts pointed out that the current pre-sale rate of new products is 73% of the same period before the release of the legendary “Black Myth: Wukong”, which is impressive. At the same time, the sales volume of the game is 6.4 times that of another famous Chinese action game “Wuchang: Fallen Feather”. Experts emphasize that “Phantom Blade Zero” has obtained an official distribution license in China, which will allow the author to launch large-scale offline advertising in the domestic market close to its release on October 29. Even if the game doesn’t break Wukong’s record of 30 million copies, strong player interest has guaranteed the project the title of one of the fall’s major blockbusters.
Have you pre-ordered Phantom Blade Zero, or are you planning to wait for the first reviews and refinement ratings at launch?
