Let us remind you that 2XKO’s Early Access begins on October 7, 2025 on PC, with full release on January 20 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. The launch didn’t live up to Riot’s hopes, coming against the backdrop of the team struggling with layoffs in February.
The next few months brought no relief. Despite community enthusiasm, 2XKO’s updates did not attract or retain enough players to ensure the sustainability of the project.
If Riot has any viable option for continued support, it will be the studio’s choice.
It’s no secret that Riot will limit active development of 2XKO until the end of 2026 – with the December fix patch being the last. The game will remain available on all platforms, and servers will continue to run after support ends.
“Our task now is to treat sincerely those who have invested in us and want to continue playing 2XKO, as well as those employees who are dedicated to making this dream a reality.”riot-proof guarantee.
Riot promises to refund all purchases made by users on or before August 20 (the process will be completed in November), unlock all fighters, disable battle passes, championship tokens, seasons, events and rated lobbies.
While they wait for (the support) to end, 2XKO players can look forward to two more champions – Lux in patch 1.3.1 (September 8) and Samira in patch 1.3.3 (October) – as well as a $40 bundle containing nearly all of the game’s cosmetic content.
