Poco has launched the Poco M8x 5G smartphone with a 120 Hz AMOLED screen, 4nm Snapdragon chip and a powerful battery.

Poco M8x 5G has a 6.9-inch LCD display with a resolution of HD+ (1600×720 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of up to 825 cd/m2, and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. This monitor supports DC Dimming technology to reduce flicker, and supports Wet Touch 2.0, allowing you to control the device’s operations with the touch of a wet finger. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects against scratches and damage.
The smartphone is based on Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, produced using 4nm process technology, and comes with up to 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash memory.
For photo and video shooting, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with 2x digital zoom and a 2-megapixel macro camera, as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The 7,900mAh battery supports 45W fast wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging, providing up to 35 hours of social media use, 27 days of messaging, 13 hours of GPS navigation, or 64 hours of music playback. Triple cooling system ensures long-term use without heat generation. According to the IP64 standard, smartphones have a certain level of protection against dust and water splashes. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Poco M8x 5G runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and Poco promises four Android operating system updates and six years of security updates.
The smartphone will be available from August 27 in black, blue and green colours, with the latter featuring a faux leather finish. The price is $220 for the 4/128 GB memory model and $240 for the 6/128 GB memory model.
