'All effort went into the search': Developers yet to figure out the source of massive GTA 6 gameplay leak

A new leak of the Grand Theft Auto 6 game, organized by user Cyberleek, has led to a serious internal crisis at Rockstar Games. According to insiders, management and many studio employees are feeling angry and deeply fatigued, especially considering the game’s release is just months away.

Although the company has deployed all possible resources and switched to emergency investigation mode (“all in”), the attacker has not yet been identified and the source of the leak remains a mystery.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that Rockstar has implemented strict safety protocols following the events of 2022, including scrapping the remote working format. However, despite internal tensions, the publisher’s plans remain unchanged: the game is promised a delayed release on Netflix on August 27 at 3pm ET, with the material to appear on YouTube afterward.
