Let us remind you that since August 18th, activist/group Cyberleek has leaked 6 GTA VI gameplay excerpts of varying lengths online. Neither Rockstar nor its parent company Take-Two Intertive have officially commented on the matter.

According to Schreier, a tipster with knowledge of the studio’s strategy, Rockstar has yet to identify the source of the leak or the culprit (although the process has already begun). Managers and employees were angry and the company was in disarray.

Recently, Take-Two went to court to request a series of data from Microsoft and Discord to identify the culprits of the leak.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first gameplay leak for GTA VI – in the fall of 2022, hundreds of videos of a beta version of the game leaked online. Rockstar has since tightened security measures, but to no avail, leaving many at the studio disappointed.

To boost morale, one of the managers sent an email to employees denouncing the leaker and assuring them that the incident would not tarnish the good work the employees were doing.

One of the leaks suggests that Cyberleek had or had direct access to the game

The leak occurred shortly before GTA VI was announced to be delayed on August 27. According to Schreier, Rockstar has no plans to reschedule the demo or change the game’s marketing strategy as a result of the incident.

GTA VI will be released on November 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and S, with prices ranging from $80 to $100. The results of the game pre-orders opened on June 25 are “Unprecedented”. Additionally, buyers prefer premium versions.
