Medieval city planning simulator Manor Lords is preparing an update that will redesign the behavior of the artificial intelligence, improve the settlement’s economy and resolve some technical issues.
After the patch is released, the AI will become more cautious in managing resources and settlement development. He won’t build apiaries until level 2, rarely chooses barren salt and clay deposits, and will start searching for distant food supplies. Some industrial buildings will be set aside for early production and trade. Additionally, the AI will revise its strategy more frequently during the first 60 days and will get more accurate calculations when placing multiple residential plots.

The economy is also waiting to adjust. Artificial intelligence will stop buying trade routes associated with scarce goods, introduce land taxes prematurely, and distribute tithes without regard to food supplies. Developers will also improve the distribution of workers between berries, mushrooms, and fisheries, calculate the craftsman’s stockpile of planks, and build clay ovens near mineral deposits.
The patch will also add a new Cheese Factory model, updated loading screens, and improved construction site previews. The developers will fix text display, production limit issues, flickering black blocks in barns, and optimize logging operations. Finally, the team will fix a crash that occurred when loading old saves and exporting animals in Wide Valley.
