Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released this year, and Activision calls it a next-generation game. It’s only available on Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, Switch 2, and PC, with all last year’s parts of the current generation of consoles also releasing on Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is currently in closed beta. You can not only try out the multiplayer game, but also the story campaign. Full testing will take place next week. Measurements show the game’s performance on Xbox Series X.

On Xbox Series S, players can also choose their preferred frame rate mode:
- 60 fps. The original resolution is from 1080p to 1206p, upscaled to 1440p. Frame drops rarely occur, and the frame rate remains stable throughout most of the game.
- 120 fps. The original resolution is from 576p to 1080p, upscaled to 1440p. In this mode, the frame rate continuously changes from 70 to 120. Average about 90 FPS.
Note that it’s too early to tell how the game will ultimately perform, as it’s still in beta testing and about 2 months away from release.
