
Despite strong criticism from players since Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops 6, Activision continues to use elements of generative artificial intelligence in the Call of Duty series. Participants in the Modern Warfare 4 beta test have noticed the first potential traces of neural networks in the game.
Some of the beta maps showed characteristic traces: suspiciously “floating” clothing lines, strange fusion elements on advertising posters, and unevenly detailed cartoon tigers on gum ball machines.
Although the game’s Steam page contains an official warning about the use of AI assassins, such a decision caused strong dissatisfaction among some in the community.
