Rebel Wolves spoke last week about how Blood of the Dawn Treader would look on consoles. They initially stated that the project would run in only two graphics modes – 30 FPS and 40 FPS – on Xbox Series X, Playstation 5, and Playstation 5 Pro. Many potential players criticized the author for abandoning 60 FPS, and now they have reconsidered their stance on the mode.
Among its social networks, Rebel Wolves Studio declaredecided to add a 60 FPS mode to the game in the day one patch:
Blood of the Dawn Treader will receive a “Performance Mode” targeting 60 FPS on Playstation 5, Playstation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X via an update on day one.
On Friday, we’re answering your questions about console performance by sharing what we know we can confidently deliver at launch. “Performance Mode” is already under development but is still in beta. We’re just not ready to commit to implementing it. We’ve heard your feedback. It’s clear how important this is to many of you, so we’re focused on completing the next round of testing. The results of these tests gave us the confidence we needed to validate the performance model on day one.
So, the current situation of the “Blood of Dawn Treader” mode on the console is as follows:
- Xbox Series X. Performance mode – up to 60 FPS. “Balanced” mode – up to 40 FPS. “Quality” mode – up to 30 FPS.
- Game Console 5. Performance mode – up to 60 FPS. “Balanced” mode – up to 40 FPS. “Quality” mode – up to 30 FPS.
- Playstation 5 Pro. Performance mode – up to 60 FPS. “Balanced” mode – up to 40 FPS. “Quality” mode – up to 30 FPS. Other visual enhancements are also available.
- Xbox Series S. One mode — up to 30 FPS.
The developers of Blood of the Dawn Treader did not specify the resolution in a specific graphics mode. Let us remind you that the game will be released on September 3rd.
