Multiplayer sandbox Palia has launched a series of free seasonal updates, Fall’s Faire, designed specifically for the fall season. The first of these, titled “Fall’s Faire: Petals & Portraits,” will be released on August 26 and will add a new type of global mission to the game, the completion of which will allow all players to change the game world forever.
The main innovation of the 0.206 update will be Public Works. These are general tasks for the entire community, where players around the world gather the necessary resources to gradually advance a large-scale project. The first is the restoration of the long-abandoned Kilima Pier. If the community gathers enough resources, the location will be restored and a permanent direct path will be created between Kilima Village and the Royal Highlands Adventure Area. Participants will receive individual rewards for their contributions.
Meanwhile, Petals and Portraits will introduce new quests with character relationships, seasonal moon paths, an increase in the number of players on the server, a new line of houses for Queen Ucindi, and a photo mode with a free camera.
“Fall’s Faire is about bringing our global community together, whether it’s working together on community projects, creating memories using enhanced camera tools, or building an impressive haunted house to explore with friends,” said Maxwell Zirata, Palia’s director of production. “As our world continues to expand, we’re increasingly focusing on features that strengthen the connection between players and the residents of Palea.”
The fall collection doesn’t end here. In October, update 0.207 called “Frights & Delights” will be released, with a spiritual holiday theme. In November, the season will continue with the launch of the “Bulunt Homecoming” patch numbered 0.208.
In the winter, the developers plan to start the next chapter of the main story. She will touch on themes of sacrifice, guilt, responsibility and the willingness to share the burdens of others. In addition, the team is further developing the house building and co-design system, renting private servers for friend groups, redesigning the community system, and the next big adventure area.
