Developers Impact Reality and Running With Scissors have announced that the remastered version of POSTAL 2 (subtitled Redux) will be released on PlayStation 5 in spring 2027, with support for PlayStation VR2, PlayStation 4, PC (virtual reality support via Steam) and Quest.
At its heart, POSTAL 2 Redux is a true sandbox: players decide how to spend each day, from calm to insane, in a living, interactive world where no two gameplays are the same. Champ returns with Dude, the series’ beloved dog and a long-time fan favorite, now with new ways to interact: pet him, carry him, use him as a weapon, and more.

Remastered in Unity 6, the new game retains the original’s player-driven sandbox and unique creative personality while improving every system in the game.
More than 20 years after the original’s release, POSTAL 2 Redux exists thanks to the desire of the community. A collaboration between Impact Reality, co-developer Flat2VR Studios and Team Beef, as well as original members of Running With Scissors, the project was funded on Kickstarter, hit its goal within a day, and then released publicly to players who liked it.
