FromSoftware legendary game director Hidetaka Miyazaki has shared new details about the development of Twilight Blood. According to him, the team deliberately moved away from classic cliches about vampires or banal monsters when creating the playable characters – so-called blood oath. The developers wanted to give them their own history, wisdom and philosophy, drawing inspiration from the most unexpected images.
Recent network testing has been a huge success, even surpassing night rain (even though it’s a Switch 2 exclusive), highlighting the public’s favorite – a mysterious character named Zork who wears a plague doctor’s mask. Miyazaki emphasizes that his author’s approach is to extend the usual framework: if a concept is called blood oaththen its boundaries are determined by the game itself, not by outdated genre stereotypes.
