At the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2026, the team shooting game “Like or Die” developed by the Korean company NC was officially released. A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but you can already add the game to your wishlist via: steam.
Like or Die is a multiplayer first-person shooter in which 16 players form four teams and battle in an arena broadcast to a worldwide audience. According to the plot, the game will be broadcast live on the space live broadcast platform Quaya Stream. Players not only have to destroy their opponents, but also win “likes” with their wonderful moves to become a live broadcast anchor.
One of Like or Die’s unusual mechanics is the ability to change the geometry of the arena during a match. Using special cannons, players can create cube blocks at selected locations. You can use them to build protective barriers around your own hub or create new paths for attacking enemies. The hub plays a central role in combat. As long as the team’s belongings are intact, its members can return to battle after death. Its destruction removes the ability for the team to resurrect, so when the object is destroyed, the number of bugs available to the player is reduced.
In the arena, you must also collect resources and secure supplies from sponsors. Funds received can be used to purchase more powerful weapons and items. Other resources can be found in airdrops and special lucky blocks.
