“Nekopara Sekai Connect” will be officially released on Steam at the end of September

Japanese publisher Good Smile Company and developer NEKO WORKs announced that they will release the free mobile gashapon game Nekopara Sekai Connect on PC via Steam on September 28.

The publisher also mentioned that the “News” section of the game’s Steam page will publish updates on various information, including settings, Catwoman, and various in-game systems, until the game is released. The PC version of “Nekopara Sekai Connect” will launch a cross-platform link function, allowing players to link the progress of the mobile version to the new Steam version after release.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Nekopara Sekai Connect is a spin-off of the original Nekopara visual novel series. Unlike the original game, it is a sandbox cafe management game that focuses on collecting cat girls using the gacha system. Nekopara Sekai Connect features an all-new story written by series creator Sayori that focuses on exploring broader aspects of the series’ world-building that long-time fans may have only glimpsed.

The announcement of Nekopara Sekai Connect’s release on Steam coincides with the announcement of a new cat girl being added to the game. Mayumi, a five-star student from Sakura Hills Nekos College, will be added to the game as a temporary flag.

A story update is coming soon, adding the sixth and final chapter to the Sakurayama Nekos Academy story. In conjunction with the release of the new chapter of the story, Good Smile Company will be holding a limited-time promotion where you will have the opportunity to win tickets to the Mayumi banner mentioned above. The VR Cat Tower as end-game content will receive an update, opening floors 201 to 300 for all four types of cats.
