KING Art studio has postponed the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV from September 17 to December 3. Players who pre-order the Commander Edition will be able to start playing the game early – November 30th. The developers explained this decision as a desire to have more time to fix bugs, improve performance, and improve the game taking into account feedback from playtest participants.
The delay also affects plans for the release of additional content. Expedition Mode and the first map pack will be available in early winter, Lords of Amnok and the second map pack will be available in mid-winter, and Bloodraven Prologue will be available in late winter. In the spring, the developers will add a mission editor, new maps, and Gazkatta.
The Aftermath expansion is expected to launch in early summer, expanding the campaign and adding new playable factions. KING Art promises to continue showcasing the game in the coming weeks and discussing improvements based on player feedback.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV will be released on December 3rd exclusively on PC (Steam).
