The CD Projekt RED team used a REDstreams live broadcast to show off the first gameplay of The Witcher 3 story add-on Songs of the Past, which will be released in late 2027 and tells the story of mysterious events in Dandelion’s hometown. This release is important because it brings the popular role-playing game back onto the active agenda and gives fans a brand new story involving old friends.
After the Bertany Festival, the protagonist wakes up by the lake and sees a strange sight. These nightmares lead the witcher to the northern region of Leiten, along with a bard who has accumulated many personal problems. Travelers meet the poet’s relatives, including the adventurous cousin Lila and the long-dead ancestor Humbert.
While exploring the dark and cursed woods of Leiten, the heroes encounter dangerous mutants. While scouting, Lila is struck by a thorn bush, after which the player is given a choice, hinting at a possible romantic route.

The author has also published system requirements for PC. Running the game requires a GTX 1660 level graphics card and 12GB of memory. For comfortable operation, it is recommended to use RTX 2060 Super. Amid these announcements, the price for the full version has jumped to $34.99.
