CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the upcoming addition to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Song of the Past, will be released without an official Russian dub. The reason given was the policy adopted in March 2022 to terminate cooperation with tax residents of Russia and Belarus.

In this case, the text translation (interface and subtitles) will be kept intact, but when you launch the DLC, the audio track will automatically switch to Polish. The familiar Russian voice acting from the main game and previous add-ons (“Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine”) will not disappear.

Well-known localization studio GamesVoice quickly responded to the news, boldly hinting at the possibility of an unofficial Russian dub.
