At gamescom 2026, the developers of action RPG Fable from Playground Games and XBOX Game Studios shared solid gameplay footage. First, it allows you to evaluate the technical performance of your project: the operation was recorded on a PC with “Ultra” settings.
Secondly, this long video shows Ballstone in all its glory – Albion’s largest city and center of trade: with over a hundred buildings and four hundred NPCs living and even doing business. Thirdly, the author of “Fable” focuses on plot and combat elements: the heroine first visits her husband and daughter, then heads to the abandoned Heroes’ Guild to try to enlist the help of the once glorious but now tipsy Kim Humphrey, and then takes on the task of defeating the bandits.
Fable will be released on PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, XBOX series and even PlayStation 5 on February 23, 2027 (excluding five days of Premium Early Access). The role-playing game will also be available directly on Game Pass and Cloud Gaming for $69.99.
