Mega Man: Double Coverage: first gameplay trailer von der gamescom

Capcom showed off a gameplay set for Mega Man’s big return for the first time in Cologne. It is reported that this new game will be released next year.

As part of Gamescom’s opening night live, Capcom once again featured Geoff Keighley and showed off a new trailer for the comeback Mega Man: Double Beyond. The video also provides the first look at new gameplay elements, bosses, and more in the upcoming action-platformer.

In addition to Mega Man, Protoman also returns as a playable character this time around. It has its own abilities, giving you more options to overcome the challenges of two different play styles.

Using the also new override system, power can be temporarily released to override limits through power-up. In return, performance is temporarily degraded; therefore, the timing of using override is critical.

The installation of special chips with personalization systems, the debut of Shiny Girl as one of eight new master robots, and a rich arsenal of weapons are also further important features of Mega Man: Double Beyond. The trailer also shows off a main robot, which fans may recognize as Astro Boy from Mega Man 8. The return of other former master droids has also been teased.

Mega Man: Dual Override will be released in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store) as the twelfth major installment in the series. A new trailer has been attached for you.
