Survivalist Aloft’s Discovery and Ancestors update is the latest content coming to Early Access

Astrolabe Interactive has released a Discovery & Ancestry content update for cooperative aerial survivor Aloft, the last before its full release. The developers moved the game from Unity 2021 to Unity 6 and also redesigned the world, interface, development and navigation systems.

This update significantly changes the sky map. The game has new sub-biomes, including dense jungle, snow, grassland, and forest. During their journey, players will encounter dynamic events including fog areas, tornadoes, and asteroid fields. Redesigned telescope and desktop maps enhance your navigation and exploration abilities.

The update includes new building elements for air houses and long-requested storage facilities. The Ancestral Memory system allows you to research the legacy of your ancestors and gain powerful character improvements for doing so. A mysterious creature, the Wind Spirit, also appears. You can make friends with it and travel with it. The satellite helps control and use airflow while exploring the world of Aloft.

Other additions include new plants to grow, a connected tree of life, a sewing kit, a dew collector, a weathervane and a heart of corruption. All these elements expand the possibilities for island development, survival and exploration.

Since Aloft’s early access release, the game has received four major updates. They added collectible animals, magical islands, ecosystem restoration, custom puzzles, a new tech tree, corruption types, advanced weapons, and improved aerial navigation.

After fixing issues related to Discovery & Ancestry, the Astrolabe Interactive team will focus on preparing version 1.0. The developer has yet to reveal a full release date.
