Kalypso Media has announced when the Tropico series will enter its next round. A new game trailer from Gamescom also revealed a release date.
Gamescom is currently a fitting stage for a new trailer for the upcoming Tropico 7, with developer Gaming Minds Studios certainly bringing back El Prez to build and manage his empire. The video provides the first gameplay sequence, but they also confirmed something else along with publisher Kalypso Media: a release date.
Tropico 7 is scheduled to continue the long-running series on January 28, 2027. The new game will be part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass immediately from launch, meaning subscribers can play it for free. It will also be released for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
The continuation provides you with an expanded political constitution system, new decrees, a new political matrix and expanded modern city-building features. For example, roundabouts can now also be built, and you can try terraforming.
The new part of the story is told through 5 campaign maps, focusing not only on the president himself, but also on his right-hand man Penutimo and new rival Victoria Guerra.
