EverQuest has opened a new Lethar server for all All Access subscribers. TLP’s second server this year brings a few changes, starting with Serpent’s Spine dungeons and a new personal loot feature. In addition, “Stone Cold Summer” will return on all servers that have “Buried Sea” unlocked.
Lethar’s rules include no open PvP, no item level requirements, no free trade, and additional rules. One of the biggest changes is the individual loot system, which provides extra loot to players on a team or team who earn points for killing enemies. Playing alone won’t give you any extra loot, so this system is designed to encourage people to form teams and play cooperatively.
Personal loot is usually items dropped by your opponents, but the difference is that each player has their own dice to determine what they get. In a raid, the amount of loot will be the same regardless of the number of players, but in a group, the amount of loot will vary based on the number of participants. Of course, a full team will yield the most loot, so players have an incentive to create such a team.
The Lethar expansion will begin unlocking content 12 weeks after release, on November 19th, along with the Buried Sea expansion. Add-ons will be unlocked every 8 weeks, with the current add-on Shattering of Ro opening on October 18, 2029.
The Stone Cold Summer event is also back on servers with Burial Sea unlocked. The event will last until September 22nd, and you will be able to travel to the Misty Jungle, help Army and Heragan complete the challenge of finding the thieves, and complete various tasks.
