SEGA has been one of Microsoft’s main Game Pass partners in recent years. Many of the publisher’s projects are published by subscription, including large-scale projects. Recently, the publisher said in a report that it believes two games will be the flagship games of the next fiscal year – Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4: Resurgence, both of which will become part of Game Pass immediately upon release.
As part of Gamescom 2026, it is reported that “Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage” will also appear on Game Pass soon. Meanwhile, neither SEGA nor Xbox reported the news on the first or second day of Microsoft’s broadcast. Information about plans to release the project on Game Pass emerged in a letter from the game’s producer Seiji Aoki, which was posted on social networks. It says the following:
We will also continue to release the XBOX PC version of “Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage”, and the content and features of this version will be consistent with the versions on other platforms. Additionally, I would like to announce that the game will be available on Game Pass starting September 10th, so stay tuned.
“Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage” is an improved version of “Virtua Fighter 5” with updated graphics, single-player campaign, cross-platform multiplayer and other changes.
