NVIDIA has updated its official technical support document to confirm that the GeForce Game Ready and Studio optimized drivers for the Windows 10 operating system will be discontinued. Microsoft’s official support for Windows 10 ended on October 14, 2025, but considering the operating system’s huge user base, NVIDIA extended full support for another year.
Therefore, in October, NVIDIA will release the latest drivers with new features and support for Windows 10, and until 2029, security updates will only be released on this version of the operating system.
After October 2026, GeForce graphics cards will continue to function normally in Windows 10, but users will need to upgrade to Windows 11 to get optimized profiles for new game versions and access the latest software technologies.
