The fate of The Elder Scrolls VI console exclusivity remains one of the gaming industry’s major intrigues eight years after its announcement. At Gamescom 2026, BBC reporters tried to find out directly from new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma (Asha Sharma), the long-awaited role-playing game will appear on a rival platform. However, in response to a direct question, the executive just smiled enigmatically and said: “It was a good game.”
Sharma emphasized that as the Xbox platform grows, the company will need its own exclusive projects such as Gears of War: E-Day or clockwork revolution), but all decisions are made with an eye on the healthy development of the business.
At the same time, Sharma has previously shared her impressions of the game’s “live play” and highly praised the scale, grandeur and plot of the game. Players are still wondering whether PlayStation audiences can count on the game’s release after the company’s change of direction following Phil Spencer’s departure and a stricter exclusivity policy.
