Huawei launches Nova 16s and 16s Pro smartphones, MatePad Pro tablets and FreeBuds Neo headphones

Huawei held a global launch event for a number of new devices under the slogan “Chasing the Elements” at the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany, including Huawei GT 7 series smart watches, Huawei Watch D3, as well as MatePad Pro tablets and Nova 16s series smartphones.

The flagship Huawei MatePad Pro tablet, with a body thickness of only 4.7 mm, is equipped with a 12-inch flexible OLED PaperMatte screen with an anti-glare coating and a paper-like texture. The device weighs only 454 grams. The tablet supports artificial intelligence speech-to-text translation, handwriting enhancement, and contactless stylus gestures to provide a comfortable content creation experience.

There is also reportedly support for the proprietary Huawei Glide keyboard with a multi-touch trackpad unit, as well as information input using a stylus.

The Huawei Nova 16s Pro smartphone features a 200 MP primary lens with an extra-large sensor and RYYB color filter array, and a front-facing 50 MP camera for realistic shooting. This camera system also includes two 1.5MP multispectral sensors on the front and rear, which provide scene-specific color calibration designed to improve color accuracy in challenging lighting conditions.

In turn, the Huawei Nova 16s model comes with a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with RYYB color filter array. This smartphone comes with a 6.68-inch display. Both models support a variety of smart photo editing tools.

At the meeting, Huawei also announced the launch of the annual GoPaint digital painting competition and added a new “Easy Creation” category to encourage users to express themselves creatively.
