Samsung suddenly starts blocking Galaxy users’ accounts – the reason for the mass suspensions remains unclear

Due to an unknown issue, many Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners are unable to access their accounts on the Korean manufacturer’s systems – Accounts “Deactivated for security reasons”.

Over the past 24 hours, some users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones have reported that their accounts have been blocked in Samsung systems – reporting that the account has been deactivated. Dozens of people reported the issue on Reddit and Samsung’s social forums. There is no official comment from the manufacturer yet. This issue may cause inconvenience to active users of Samsung’s software ecosystem, including SmartThings, Wallet, and Find apps.

Some people were able to regain access to their accounts after contacting support, but overall the results were unpredictable. According to a version confirmed by a support worker, the issue may be caused by using a fake email address – a service provided by several platforms, including Apple. Symptoms are indicated by the presence of the symbols “+” and “.” in the address. Some victims confirmed that they did use fake email addresses, although some indicated that they were real, so that’s not the only reason. Samsung officials will comment to clarify the situation.
