After weeks of preliminary testing, Mozilla has officially rolled out ad blocking functionality to Firefox for iOS.
The new option uses built-in features of Apple WebKit Content Blocker and the popular EasyList filter to let you block ad banners and trackers before the page loads, speeding up your site and saving traffic.
This feature is disabled by default, but can be enabled in settings or through the site’s quick menu. At the same time, the blockade does not affect Firefox’s own built-in ads on new tabs, ad integration on websites and search results, and similar tools are already used in competing browsers Brave, Vivaldi and Opera.
