The modder has released an experimental modification RTX 40 Manufacturing Unlocked Based on Cyber Engine Tweaks, it allows owners of GeForce RTX 40-line graphics cards to use advanced Multi-Frame Generation in Cyberpunk 2077. This mod removes the standard limitations of the DLSS generator, allowing you to generate not one, but multiple intermediate frames at a time. Both fixed generation profiles (from 2x to 6x) and dynamic modes are available. By default, dynamic interpolation is capped at 4x, but experimental multipliers of 5x and 6x can be unlocked through the settings menu.
The developers emphasized the status of the research on the project – modes above 2x will cause a significant increase in input lag and may result in graphical artifacts, frozen image output, black screens or game crashes – but the “research” itself is clearly moving in the right direction. Yes, this is exactly what DLSS frames are generated for, not the multiplier that replaces the FSR.
