Capcom has revealed the Ascendance add-on for its upcoming action role-playing game Monster Hunter Wilds, detailing how the new Boost Bracer device works, which will fundamentally change the game’s combat mechanics.

A special tool allows you to perform powerful Enhanced Drive attacks and temporarily activate enhanced states, providing stunning techniques for each weapon type. Development director Takuro Hiraoka took into account the experience of the previous game so that the new product can be organically integrated into the gameplay and not repeat the controversial mechanics of “Iceborne”.

The expansion is set to release in 2027, and the developers promise to release daily demos of updated combat styles across the entire arsenal of available weapons.
