In a week’s time, the new Vault Hunter Loveless will appear in the game – today we’ll introduce her in more detail.
2K and Gearbox will release the new Vault Hunter Loveless the Hacker as paid DLC in Borderlands 4 on September 10th. This is now covered in more detail in advance as part of DevCast. It focuses on the background story, combat style and design concept of “Loveless”. Game designer Ryan Bailey didn’t miss this opportunity, detailing character traits, action skills, and three different skill trees.
The new Vault Hunter was once a hacker, now an assassin. New Loveless character short film Unable to contain Showing the shared consciousness of Loveless and her alter ego Wyrm. In it, she recounts her experience immersing herself in the digital universe in search of valuable chamber data.
Lovelace playfully relies on her Plague Star Shuriken to fight her way through hordes of enemies. In the process, she also spreads a devastating plague. She can also use her Visual Paradox Nexus (VPN) to outwit her opponents, making them invisible and creating decoys.
Her offensive and agility gear is designed for critical hits, status effects, and devastating corrosive and radiant damage. This trait, called RAM, recharges every time she takes a critical hit or triggers a status effect. With a full RAM bar, her next melee attack using the Techno-Kagi claw will be powered up, and her weapon damage will be increased.
“Loveless” will be released on September 10 at the same time as version 1.10 and “Phone Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort” and “Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Shadow of Evil”. Version 1.10 also increases the maximum level cap by 10 levels and introduces balance adjustments for various Vault Hunters.
