Lenovo announced at IFA 2026 a compact 1.6-liter ThinkCentre

The manufacturer calls the device a new desktop computer for the age of agent-based artificial intelligence. Up to four ThinkCentre X Ultras can be combined into a computing platform to increase available computing resources and memory capacity. At maximum configuration, such a cluster will receive a total of up to 512 GB of unified memory, which will enable it to run larger AI models locally, handle longer contexts, run multi-agent scenarios, and handle multiple requests simultaneously without relying on cloud resources.
The flagship configuration of the ThinkCentre X Ultra comes with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor from the updated Gorgon Halo series. It has 16 Zen 5 cores, integrating a Radeon 8065S graphics card with 40 compute units and a neural processor with a performance of approximately 55 TOPS. The CPU and GPU share LPDDR5X memory space, with up to 96 GB available for the graphics subsystem. As a result, the system is capable of running AI models that would not fit into the memory of a discrete graphics card with 24 or 32 GB of memory.
Lenovo has enhanced ThinkCentre X Ultra with enterprise-class ThinkShield security, AMD PRO technology and DASH remote management. There’s also a self-healing BIOS and integration with the AMD Ryzen AI Developer Center, which provides pre-configured tools, models and workflows for Windows and Linux.
At the same time, Lenovo has not disclosed the technical details of combining multiple ThinkCentre For fast wired interfaces, each computer offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports with 40 Gbps throughput and one 10GbE network interface. ThinkCentre X Ultra also features adaptive lighting that provides instant visual feedback on system status.
