Activision confirms update is rolling out this week Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 On PC, the aim is to solve Game security vulnerabilities. The question specifically relates to exploits Remote Code Execution (RCE)which can exploit certain features of peer-to-peer networking in older multiplayer games to allow attackers to execute code on other players’ computers.

The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has long been considered problematic in this regard, with reports including normal cheating such as Aimbot e-wall crackup to potentially more serious vulnerabilities. Activision claims to have fixed all currently known issues in the new update.

In a statement to Windows Central, the company explained: “The updates released this week address all known vulnerabilities in Modern Warfare 2. The team will continue to support our older games and have additional updates in the works. We encourage anyone who knows of other issues to report them through our bug bounty portal.”
