The game tells the story of Samson McCree as he returns to his hometown of Tindalston to save his sister and pay off his debt. The protagonist’s financial situation is not good, which is why he is forced to work part-time jobs regularly. A desperate search for cash and settlements with creditors at the end of each day are the basic mechanics of the operation.
Swedish studio Liquid Swords was founded by Christopher Sundberg, co-founder of Avalanche Studios and author of Just Cause. In the new trailer, he talks about the improvements Samson has received since its release on PC in April 2026. For example, the author updated the combat system, added training materials, and advanced car personalization.
“Samson” will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X and S on September 21. The PC version, which launched on April 8, disappointed critics and players alike. Mila Ponomareva gave the project a 5.0/10 in her review for 3DNews, writing: “A mediocre action game that’s hard to play properly as almost all mechanics are crude”.
