In this case, Xiaomi promised to pay the car owner the difference between the insurance compensation and the cost of the new car.

These conditions do not apply to cars used for commercial purposes, whether taxis or car sharing. If the vehicle is resold, the second owner will also lose similar warranty coverage for the power battery. Xiaomi claims that the durability and safety of the Dragon Scale series power batteries exceed the requirements of Chinese national standards. Additional insulation and emergency mechanisms for disconnecting power from defective batteries can prevent the spread of fire within the structure. The battery management system is always in contact with a proprietary “cloud” and monitors battery condition ten times more frequently than required by the national standards of the People’s Republic of China. Xiaomi’s Skynomad N90 and N70 hybrids, which will be officially sold starting tomorrow, will receive batteries from this series and accompanying warranty coverage.
