As car enthusiasts rightly point out, cars classified as off-road vehicles cannot in principle be single-wheel drive. In turn, a full-fledged all-wheel drive vehicle would not exist without a transfer case that distributes torque between the drive shafts.

Units are less complex, but still require production, preferably in their own country. And today Sollers report The SOLLERS transmission production base in Zavorge has started production of the Sollers ST9 pickup transfer case. It is worth noting that the new “razdatka” complements various similar devices already produced by the enterprise for Sollers ST6 and ST8 cars, as well as UAZ “Patriot”, “Pickup” and “Profi”.
The caveat here is that while pickup trucks are a cartoon symbol of redneck America and are actually unpopular in Russian climates, cars with this body style are gradually becoming more common on domestic roads, encouraged by Chinese automakers that have experimented with pickup trucks.
