Mojang has announced details of a new major content update for Minecraft called Wilderness Bound. Players will embark on an adventure into a new biome – a tangled forest filled with tall, fiery-red aspen trees, where they can explore unfamiliar terrain, jump on giant mushrooms, and find an abandoned campground.
The patch will bring a number of useful survival mechanics: a straw bed (made from three haystacks) allows you to skip nights without respawn, and new wool pillows can be placed near the fire for cozy gatherings. In addition, the builder’s arsenal will be replenished with new poplar wood, as well as expanded concrete and wool for laying out the base camp.
Future innovations are being developed based on community feedback and will eventually appear in the current versions of the game – Bedrock Edition and Java Edition.
