XLGAMES has finally revealed the full three-minute gameplay trailer for its upcoming multiplayer action role-playing game ArcheAge Chronicles. Before this, developers were mostly limited to short snippets of around 10-15 seconds that didn’t allow for in-depth understanding of the game. The new footage has shown off the game in more detail, showcasing multiple areas of gameplay simultaneously.
ArcheAge Chronicles takes place in Aurora 50 years after the original ArcheAge. The developers are calling the project a new version of the series, built around world exploration and dynamic combat. This time, players can not only move missions between pre-marked points, but also explore the surrounding areas independently.
The film shows travel through large areas of Aurora without the usual scattered markers on the map. Players can go in almost any direction, finding new places and becoming familiar with ongoing events in the world. According to the authors, they did not want to turn the map into a set of pointers indicating next steps.
Combat plays a big role, but the gameplay isn’t limited to that. This video demonstrates resource collection, processing, and item creation. The construction and arrangement of housing, trading and carriage facilities are also shown. These elements are said by the developers to be part of Archeology’s DNA, and they decided to keep them in the new game.
Another important component has to do with player interaction. You can explore the world alone, but also cooperatively. If an enemy is too strong for one character, you can team up with other nearby players and join the fight together.
Let us remind you that the first technical test of “Chronicles of the Ancient Age” will take place on September 13th from 02:00 to 08:00 Moscow time. Participants will be able to access a limited portion of content, focused primarily on the early areas of the game. You can apply on the page steam.
