
French studio Don’t Nod introduces the world to the original Life is Strange and vampireon the verge of bankruptcy due to difficult financial conditions. According to the company’s latest report, declining revenue and the loss of Tencent’s key capital pose serious risks to the continued existence of the business.
Studio executives have publicly acknowledged that current cash reserves will be exhausted by January 2027 if the company fails to find new investors or publishers in the coming months.
The main reason for the crisis was the weak commercial performance of recent releases, including the series’ spiritual successor – Lost Records: Bloom and FuryIn changing market conditions, they were unable to repeat the success of the studio’s past projects.
