After “Blood of Dawn Treader” was successfully launched, the development team did not slack off at all. Work on the second part appears to have already begun.
Rebel Wolves released a new action RPG, Blood of the Dawnwalker, last week and immediately celebrated its first success. The game passed the million mark on the day of its release and became a commercial success. The team clearly hopes to build on this foundation.
Narrative director Jakub Szamalek has now revealed via social media that Rebel Wolves has begun work on a sequel to the game. in the post via LinkedIn Zamalek said:
“Dawn Treader Blood has been critically acclaimed, selling over a million copies in its opening weekend. But we’re not resting on our laurels—quite the opposite! We’re already thinking about what to do next. That’s why—drum roll please!—I’m looking for a lead writer to join me and the narrative team on the next chapter of the Dawn Treader saga.”
A potential sequel could be further set in the present day; a cutscene at the end of the game hints at this. Rebel Wolves showed off the corresponding excerpt in a trailer a few months ago – so the context for the sequel was essentially set.
