During a Nintendo Direct, they showed off a small trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered: cutscenes, locations, combat, and Gwent.
On hybrid consoles, an updated role-playing action game polished by the creators of the revamped The Witcher 3 HD Remastered Project will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and XBOX series on September 29, 2026. The game previously ran on the original Switch, with The Witcher 3 successfully getting Saber on the Switch four years after its release.
If you already own a copy of the game on Switch, Nintendo will let you upgrade for free. However, the remake is just an aperitif before the main course, the third addition to Ballads of the Past. Fans are eagerly anticipating the continuation of the story of Geralt and Dandelion in Fool’s Theory: 900,000 new wishlists were added within a week of its release. However, the DLC will be released in 2027.
