Korean MMORPG Realm of Dokkaebi announces release date

As part of an online presentation, publisher Kakao Games and developer SUPERCAT have announced the release date for new MMORPG Realm of Dokkaebi. The project will be released in South Korea on October 8, 2026.

Realm of Dokkaebi combines 2D pixel characters with 3D environments, and its visual style is based on traditional Korean culture. The game is adapted from the popular Korean web comic and web novel 멸귀수도전 (Searching for Demon Slayer) and is developed by Redice Studio, a Korean web comic studio known for its solo leveling works.

The developer stated in the introduction that the combat system is based on 12 styles, and each style is associated with a unique “opening spiritual consciousness” mechanism, which directly affects the character’s combat ability. The developers also focus on cooperative development, and the game includes optional PvP elements.

A broadcast is planned for September 18th, showcasing gameplay and new details.
