they passed successfully 28 years since the launch of the first product Spyro and Bob toys take the opportunity to celebrate the series and show off something Spyro the Dragon: Beyond Realma new chapter in development to be released by Xbox Game Studios, via Pictures and short videos.
The good news is that we haven’t seen a new game in the series for the better part of 28 years, and considering the last original chapter actually dates back to 2008, and the series didn’t return until 2018 with the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy collection, there’s definitely some anticipation for the return of the Purple Dragon.
Anyway, we’re celebrating the 28th anniversary of the Spyro series, and to that end, the developers decided to showcase some new projects in development and release a nice celebratory video for the main character.

To be honest, the images and videos released this time don’t show much about Spyro Beyond the Realm, but they do give us a look at some elements of the game, such as Setting and characterswaiting to see more game-related information.
The video shown above simply celebrates the character’s 28th “birthday” with beautiful animation reminiscent of a themed party.
However, from what we’ve seen, these images are still in the works: two images involving the game’s settings are particularly interesting.

Among these we see acadia valleyIt is a verdant land where some of the remains of ancient civilizations stand, and a place where we can expect to soar freely among the beauty of nature and architecture.
As for the rest, there’s a new Spyro figure and other characters, and then a “mysterious figure,” as the developers define it, which apparently covers a significant part of the new chapter’s story, but has yet to be revealed.
Spyro: Beyond Realm was announced for PC, Xbox, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 during the Xbox Game Showcase 2026 in June, and Toys For Bob hopes this may be “the first of many games.”
