Publisher Aniplex and developers Meteorise have teamed up with TYPE-MOON to release the first solo trailer for the long-awaited remaster of Fate/EXTRA Record. The film is entirely dedicated to one of the main characters of the series – Saber (not Artoria, but Nero Claudius), whose character traditionally returns to the popular voice actress Sakura Tange.
The author reviews the premise of the role: the heroine’s petite figure is deceptive, hiding her great fencing skills, and thus she earns the right to dress of such a powerful class. At the same time, behind the outward authority and arrogant demeanor, there is a heart that sincerely worships all good things. The video itself shows off updated 3D models, exciting combat techniques using the game engine, and footage of interacting with Servants.
Fate/EXTRA Record will be released globally on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2027. What do you think of the transformation of classic Fate/EXTRA into modern engines?
