on the aggregator website metacritic Marvel’s Wolverine has over 100 reviews and a rating of 77%. exist open to critics There are significantly fewer reviews, and the rating is slightly higher – 81% with 43 reviews (79% of reviewers recommend the game).
As a result, Marvel’s Wolverine received a decidedly lukewarm reception than Marvel’s Spider-Man (87% on Metacritic) and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (90%). It is also worth noting that the grades range widely – from “ten” to “six” and “five” (one).
Marvel’s Wolverine is approximately 15-20 hours long
Critics praised the emotional (albeit predictable) story and performances, memorable production scenes, brutal action, high-quality graphics, and optimization (60 fps with ray tracing support on the base PS5).
The game’s shortcomings include being overly linear and conservative, the monotony of some missions, a superficial combat system without significant development, poorly executed stealth, and outdated mission design.
The combat system’s gore doesn’t make up for its monotony
Critics agree that Marvel’s Wolverine, unlike Marvel’s Spider-Man, is not the best Wolverine game. Compared to Insomniac’s past superhero action films, this project is a disappointment.
Marvel’s Wolverine will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 15, with prices starting at $70. In line with Sony’s new strategy for major PlayStation exclusives, the game will not be released on PC.
