NPCs in GTA 6 will learn how to disarm players, choose clothing, and react differently to crimes

Following the closed preview of GTA 6, new details about NPC behavior have surfaced. Passersby will receive more animations and react differently to armed players: some will run away, others may try to disarm him. Characters’ costumes also depend on the area they’re in.

Can pick up objects from the ground. For example, after a battle, Jason can take hats and glasses from defeated NPCs and use them to change his appearance. This is also useful when trying to hide from the police.

The police force will also become more diverse: a heavier officer would not be able to pursue Jason on foot for long periods of time during demonstrations. Meanwhile, the patrol car accident shown in the previous film actually happened on the fly – Rob Nelson was able to recreate a similar situation on the show.

The developers have also expanded the heist and random event systems. In a store, the cashier might tell you there’s a safe in the back room, and during a random robbery, players will be asked to help two criminals and then take the loot themselves.
