Valheim finally comes out of Early Access – after five years of development, the game has received version 1.0

Iron Gate has released version 1.0 of Valheim, ending more than five years in Early Access. Along with the release of the full version, Survivalists also gets a major update, including a new Far North biome, dozens of weapons, four sets of armor, new creatures, locations, and building elements.

The development of the game doesn’t end there. The studio has no plans to make Valhalla 2 yet, as the community is more interested in new content for the original game. In the future, the developers hope to develop processes and roles and continue to add new mechanics and features.

Valheim 1.0 is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2. The developers also noted that many of the changes came exactly at the request of players – for example, redesigning the combat system wasn’t originally part of the team’s plans at all.
