According to the agency Bloomberg According to people familiar with the matter, PIF management is considering merging Electronic Arts with another of its assets, investment company Savvy Games Group.

Savvy Games is worth noting that it has been aggressively acquiring action developers in recent years: Scopely (Monopoly Go) for $4.9 billion, Niantic’s gaming business (Pokemon Go) for $3.5 billion, and Moonton (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) for $6 billion.

PIF leaders said that the merger of Electronic Arts and Savvy Games Group will not only form one of the largest gaming companies in the market, but will also help improve coordination between assets.

A final decision regarding the potential future of Electronic Arts and Savvy Games has not yet been made, and may not be made until Savvy Games completes its acquisition of Moonton.

According to Bloomberg, the combination of EA and Savvy will provide PIF with a single platform for acquisitions, game development and the use of intellectual property rights in various areas of the industry.

Reporters also noted that a potential deal could strengthen Electronic Arts’ position in the growing mobile gaming market, although the company’s strength has always been in computer and console entertainment.
