Studio Surgical Scalpels and Starry Dome have announced the release of shooter The Wandering Earth: The Last Full Moon, another adaptation of Liu Cixin’s novel The Wandering Earth, but this time interactive.
The game will be released in English and Chinese versions on Steam, and there is currently no release date. The event will unfold at the end of the Brake Era. The protagonist, who possesses personal equipment such as space suits and exoskeletons, as well as advanced technology, will have to go to the moon to complete a key mission and reveal the real cause of the crisis. The battle will take place on the surface of satellites and in outer space – under various gravity conditions.
In a few centuries, the sun will experience a helium flash and destroy the Earth. In response, humans launched the Wandering Earth Project. The 2,500-year plan calls for the construction of more than 10,000 planetary engines to propel the Earth toward humanity’s new home.
The Braking Era is the first stage of the “Wandering Earth” project, during which the Earth’s rotation will stop. This includes the coalition’s preparations to use twelve lunar thrusters to lift the moon out of Earth’s orbit.
